Entropy
The path to Psychological Freedom leads directly to the Restore Point, which is the Authentic Self.
We begin life uncorrupted, capable of joy, laughter, happiness, contentment, ease of existence.
We slowly begin to develop a sense of Self (SELF) based on what does or does not cause Rejection OR the perception of Rejection. We begin the painful and uncomfortable process of reshaping, suppressing, hiding, forfeiting our authenticity in exchange for acceptance (Love & Belonging, Safety & Security).
Insidiously that capacity for lightness of being, joy, ease of existence, begins to become a distant memory - no longer accessible. It is replaced by self denigration, self denial, maladaptive coping, compensatory behaviors, a knotted stomach and chest tightness. Ease of existence is replaced by walking a tight rope high above a canyon - Fear now the thing we feel the most intensely and the most often.
Human engagement and interaction become dangerous. It is something to be feared, weighed in the balance, titrated, avoided, limited. In the human experience it becomes the number one, it could be argued - only, source of anxiety, distress and discomfort, both at a low level, and in the extreme.
Every human engagement becomes a game of chess, weighing each move in the balance, trying to anticipate the consequence.
It becomes exhausting.
Our constant state of being is one of Entropy - internal mental, psychological and emotional chaos, disorder, angst, distress, uncertainty, insecurity.
We are now uncomfortable in our own skin - full time - yes, even when we are alone.
A Steady State
The antithesis of chaos and disintegration of order is homeostasis - a Steady State.
Finding a peaceful, calm, collected, unaffected mental, psychological and emotional Steady State is probably the most challenging task of the human experience.
What does it take to find this Steady State?
A single thing - Release - the move into Neutrality.
Neutrality is the absence of chaos - stillness, quiet, calm, peaceful, centered, balanced, unaffected. It is The Steady State.
The Shift
What steps are required to achieve this Release/Neutrality? There is only ONE step. It is merely to make a SHIFT IN PERSPECTIVE.
All that is required is that you make The Shift away from any consideration of Judgement and Worth from external and internal sources. Release/Abandon the Conditioned Beliefs based on made up Constructs that the world has taught you are valid. They are not.
Simply Release the thoughts and move to Neutrality (stand in the absence of the negative thought). It is nothing more than, and an utterly critical, SHIFT IN PERSPECTIVE.
There is no such thing as Judgement. There is no such thing as Worth. Both of these things are man made - thoughts, ideas, nothingness. The Universe is Neutral. The Universe holds to neither of these constructs.
Nothing has to change externally. Everything can change internally.
You can choose not to walk the tight rope. You can opt out of the chess match. You can choose to walk on the firm and steady ground that is your Authentic Self.
When you make The Shift to Neutral - you will find the Steady State - this is where you will find your Restore Point - your Authentic Self.
