Your Superpower is REAL!
You have access to a SUPERPOWER that gives you control over how you experience life! Here is exactly how to activate it:
BOOM! There it is!
THE SHIFT from EXPECTATION to INTENTION!
Nothing changed outwardly. Everything changed inwardly.
It is just a shift in perception (changing the belief!) that leads to “The End of Efforting!”
It is a shift in focus, away from the External, over which there is no control, and onto the Internal, over which there is complete control.
It is a skill that has the power to utterly change your life!
It is so easy a child can do it. It is SO powerful it can spin your world 180 degrees!
EXpectation is EXTERNAL.
INtention is INTERNAL.
The child, in the video, is every single one of us, going through life with Expectation(s), repeatedly spinning our wheels trying to surmount the daily barriers in our lives, be it at home, at work, or in relationships, hoping/waiting for (Expecting) something, or someone, to change, and it will all somehow get easier, except it never does.
That is…until someone comes along and shows us the MAGIC SUPERPOWER of INTENTION!
It is ALL about control - that which you do not control (Expectation/OTHER) - and that over which you have supreme control (INTENTION/your SELF).
Invoke Your Superpower!
Write down one thing in your life that continues to frustrate and/or disappoint you. Write down the Expectation that you have set around that circumstance.
Now write down an Intention just for that circumstance.
(Examples of how to do this, as well as extra reading that also explained how to make the shift, was offered in the previous post, “Total Control.”)
Repeat that exercise for anything in your life around which you have set Expectations and are waiting for change.
Write a list of Intentions for each circumstance.
Read the list of Intentions every day. Put them in your phone. Put them on the frig. Put them on the dashboard of your car. Put them on your computer at work. Put them anywhere that you will be able to see them, so that you can use them to re-orient yourself every day.
Repeat your intentions over and over in your mind. Utilize them like a mantra.
When you stop Expecting- and you start Intending - you WILL change the trajectory of your life.
Let go of that over which you have NO CONTROL. Focus on ALL of that over which you have TOTAL CONTROL.
How do you handle a challenging relationship? You stop trying to handle (setting Expectations) the relationship, and start managing the only thing you can control, which is how you respond to it (setting Intentions).
You are now WALKING on the path to Psychological Freedom…
