THE ORIGINAL SIN
It all began in the Garden of Eden. It WAS the Original Sin.
The problem was not that the apple was eaten, nor the decision to eat it. The problem was the onset of awareness of OTHER and simultaneously, in that exact moment, JUDGEMENT. They became aware of their nakedness and covered it. What is this?… GUILT (SHAME)…and the only thing that can precipitate GUILT is JUDGEMENT.
It does not matter if you are someone who adheres to Organized Religion or not. All societies, from the beginning of civilization, have been built around some form of Organized Religion, hence you have experienced the repercussions of its influence. In the time of Ur, civilizations were established around Zigguarts. In the time of the early settlement of the New World, it was the Church on the Green.
The legacy of Organized Religion is JUDGEMENT.
JUDGEMENT IS POWER
REMOVE ALL JUDGEMENT IN THIS WORLD…ON THIS PLANET…Take a minute…imagine it…
A World without JUDGEMENT…What does that look like? What does that feel like?
…………Freedom…………for everyone…………..in all places………..a universal deep inspiration……Peace?
JUDGEMENT IS THE THE POWER THAT MANIPULATES THE HUMAN PSYCHE.
How can that be true? Because JUDGEMENT creates FEAR. FEAR is the foundation of JUDGEMENT. Remember the quote from the post The F-Word?…“Fear again. If you want to control someone, all you have to do is make them feel afraid.” - Paulo Coelho
The 7 Core Fears (The F-Word) drive human behavior, but the greatest of these is the Fear of Rejection (Forgive Me Father for I have Sinned).
It is upon the insidious foundation of Fear of Rejection, Organized Religion, Government, Commerce, and Societies have been constructed.
JUDGEMENT creates POWER by FEAR. FEAR creates POWERLESSNESS and HELPLESSNESS. Let’s change Paulo’s quote just a little bit - if you want to control someone, all you have to do is make them feel powerless and helpless. Done. You now drive the bus.
THE ABSENCE OF JUDGEMENT
What happens in the absence of JUDGEMENT?
—There is NO POWER DIFFERENTIAL—
—There is no US and THEM—There is no OTHER—
—There is no I am better than YOU—aka YOU are NOT GOOD ENOUGH—
If JUDGEMENT was not engrained and entrained into our society and our psyche, would Social Media, as it has been engineered, be successful using it’s current formulas and algorithms? Would it be able to be such a POWER-FUL instrument for Marketing and Consumerism?
Would the labels on your clothing matter? Would the kind of car you drive matter?
Would there be any teenage suicides from cyberbullying?
Without JUDGEMENT would there be ANY bullying?—People against People—Nation against Nation?
JUDGEMENT OF OTHER
JUDGEMENT serves to create hierachy - to create an US and a THEM -Good Enough and NOT Good Enough (ie., separating sheep from goats) - to create OTHER - to create the POWERFUL, and inextricably, by default and by design, the realization of it’s main purpose - the production of POWERLESSNESS.
The POWER based in JUDGEMENT is always going to lead to pain and suffering - because JUDGEMENT always leads to rejection, it must - Judgement IS rejection.
When we JUDGE OTHER - we perpetuate the unrelenting march of pain and suffering passed down from generation to generation. We perpetuate the continued production of POWERLESSNESS.
JUDGEMENT OF SELF
When we JUDGE our SELF - we divide our SELF from our SELF. We deem our SELF not good enough. We reject our SELF. How could this NOT lead to mental health struggles? We are at WAR within our own Psyches. We turn on our SELF. We bully our SELF. We beat our SELF up over and over and over again. We deliberately hurt our SELF. We create our own pain and suffering - why? because we think we deserve it (JUDGEMENT is followed by rejection, then punishment - as if rejection is not enough punishment…) - hence, substance use, anxiety, dissociation, depression, rumination, unhappiness - POWERLESSNESS.
CESSATION OF JUDGEMENT
When we cease JUDGEMENT of our SELF and OTHER - it all just STOPS.
All the noise, the bombs, the pain, the screaming, the angst, the voices, the epitaphs, the insults, the self deprication - fall SILENT…
…and in that SILENCE comes the whisper, the breath, the tiniest wisp of understanding…that here, right here, is where a POWER that is far far GREATER than the power of Judgement can be found. It is the PERFECT POWER of FREEDOM. It is the place where the POWER of LOVE, and the possiblity/ability to learn the LOVE of SELF and OTHER, exists. THIS is the POWER that can change your life. THIS is the POWER that can change the World.
When you cease Judgement of your SELF, you can cease Judgement of OTHER. When you cease Judgement of OTHER, you can cease Judgement of your SELF.
PERFECT POWER
When you cease Judgement of SELF, you can learn to LOVE your SELF. When you cease Judgement of OTHER, you can learn to LOVE OTHER…and so, find PERFECT FREEDOM and PERFECT POWER.
PERFECT POWER never diminishes, never destroys, never perpetuates powerlessness - it only builds, it only begets. It is the POWER of CREATION. It is the POWER of endless possiblity. It is the only POWER that will ever lead to LOVE - of SELF and OTHER. It is the only POWER that will ever lead to Psychological Freedom.
